Walkers Nonsuch |
| It all started with a little shop
in Stoke-on-Trent where Edward Joseph Walker began
making toffee for a handful of local customers in the 1890's.
For me this always came in a tin tray with a
hammer that was not only useful for cracking the toffee, but also for
a bit of DIY. Even today I have one of these hammers at the bottom of
my toolkit. There were two model s offered in this promotion - the other being the 126G Bullnose
A tin of toffee with the packs showing the offer - you could get each vehicle for £2.60 each.
LETTER FROM JODIE BUTTERFIELD- USA
My husband and I are huge fans of Walkers Nonsuch
toffee. A client of my husbands brought it back from England and at
first we thought it to be a silly present. After months of it sitting
in our cupboard, my husband has a sweet tooth one night and decided to
try it. He begged me to try it, as I had never ever liked toffee
before, and with one bite I was addicted. The way it's firm, but yet
it melts in your mouth. We love this toffee and have a hard time
finding it anywhere in the US. But we do order it internationally
sometimes. |
