The VW Beetle, also a newly tooled Oxford introduction this autumn, is another cult car that is still revered and loved today. So loved was it that film-makers produced a series of movies in which a VW Beetle, called Herbie, was almost humanised and his antics were enjoyed by enthusiasts of all ages. The new Oxford VW Beetle is decorated in Pearl White with silver and black trim. It includes the racing number S3 and comes with the red, white and blue racing stripes, which run the whole length of the centre of the car. With authentic registration plate, OFP 857, the car is modelled with a left hand drive interior. The second release is also available in a deep ruby red. The VW Beetle was an economy class car, which the German Volkswagen, manufacturers introduced in 1938. It continued in production until 2003, during which time an incredible 21.5 million were made. Its familiar shape remained the same throughout its life.
