Always a popular livery British Rail, this time a Mechanical Horse. The advert makes interesting reading - Lugagge in Advance - Collection, Conveyance and Delivery, all for just 5/6. I calculate this to be just over 25p. I always used to get confused with the conversion. 4d and 5d both converted to 2p, which seemed very unfair, as before the changeover I used to get 8 Black Jacks (or Fruit Salads) for a 1d, then when the change took place we only got 32 Black Jacks for 2p, making it 8 short, terribly unfair - not that it bothered me that much - more the principal!
