1:76 Scale

As previewed last month we are releasing a lot of 1:76 scale models, all in authentic liveries This month we have the three cars and the first Milk Float. Further cars and variants will release next month. We have plenty of new shapes and we also have plans for Scammell Scarabs, Mechanical Horses - flatbeds, dustcart and box variants. We also are in production trials with a Paralanian, a CA Milkfloat, J2 Ambulance and CA van at 1:76 scale. Pre -production shots of a Bedford TK Fire Engine are also well advanced.  

Standard Vanguard – 76SV001

I learnt to drive in my fathers vanguard car. At the end of WW2 my father wanted a new car & placed an order with a local dealer for a car, he was put on a waiting list & later would joke he was on the list for 5 years. The dealer did eventually phone & told Dad that he was at the top of the list & a car was available. The car was brought for Dad to look at, no choice of car, colour, spec nothing, the only choice was to take it or leave it. The car had no heater & my cousin a car mechanic made one out of a steamer pan from his mothers kitchen. I remember a few years after of car washing, the paint went spotty and red undercoat showed through & the locking handle for the panel over the rear wheels did tend to seize up.
