The post-war 25cwt Austin K8 was introduced in 1947
and its versatility saw it being used in a variety of ways, not the
least of which was a lightweight delivery van. We have used the much
remembered Pink Paraffin livery for the second release on our 1:43 scale
van. It is a replica of one of a fleet of Pink Paraffin liveried vans
run by Watson's of Houghton Conquest in Bedfordshire during the 1950s.
The photograph here was supplied by Colin Watson, who still runs the
business from Wixams in Bedfordshire.
