Spectra Rentals Anglia
  Following on from the DER release in Globe 87 we had plenty of information about all sorts of TV rental companies. One of the nicest liveries was for Spectra rentals. So Dusty decided that we should release this Anglia. He remembers the name, but not much else I’m afraid, he also lost all the contact details of the member who sent in the pictures - I am not sure how long I can put up with him.

By the way. DER was started by Tom Ludlow in 1947 and sold, over his head by the Board, in 1963 to Thorn Electronics. He immediately started Vista Rentals that amalgamated with Radio Rentals in 1966 but both were taken over, again by Thorn, in 1968. He then started Spectra Rentals in 1970 and that company was taken over in 1976 by Granada who were, at that time, controlled by GEC. By then Mr. Ludlow had had enough and retired.
