AP002  -  DM4 Scarlet Austin Princess

We are producing early, mid and late versions of our new 1:43 scale Austin Princess. This second release, from the 'mid' period of 1953-1956, is a miniature of the Scarlet limousine ordered specially by the ruler of Qatar in 1954. With chassis No. 10479, all the bright metal was plated with 22-carat gold. No doubt an easily recognisable and dazzling sight in the deserts of the Middle East! The Sheikh also purchased a DS5 in Pink with Gold chassis No 10481. Originally left hand drive, it carried no registration number and is now back in the UK, awaiting restoration, which sounds like an expensive exercise.
