Who remembers 'Valiant'? Obviously Taff does as he chose this livery for the Comic Cuts range. Funnily enough 'Valiant' never numbered their issues - though we're told 713 were actually released. Throughout it's life-span 'Valiant' was paired with other publications - 'Knock-out' in 1963 - 'Smash' in 1971 - 'T. V. 21' later in the same year - Lion (our old friend) in 1974 and 'Vulcan' in 1976.

The hero of 'Valiant' was 'Captain Hercules Hurricane' who appeared the publications offset, leading his team of crack Royal Marine Commandos. His supreme colossal strength proved invaluable to his men. Captain Hercules Hurricane and his pint size batman - wait for it - 'Maggot Malone' distinguished themselves in action throughout the second world war. The publication sold for 7d a copy.

A bit of a mystery this one as we seemed to sell out so quickly - maybe the graphics on the side I don't really know.
