The Topper
First
issued in 1953 it lasted for until 1990 when it joined the Beezer.- Just under
2,000 issues in its own right, the last annual appeared in 1994. Mickey the
Monkey appeared on the first issue. Opposite is the
cover of the issue from Christmas
1954 No 99. Mickey found a giant wishbone, but despite many attempts he was
unable to pull (he wanted to wish for a bumper Christmas dinner). It turned out
that the wishbone was from the museum been mislaid and belonged to an ostrich.
The curator was so pleased that Mickey found it they were all invited to a
bumper Christmas meal that they enjoyed together.Can anyone help us with the name of the parrot?
