Buster was launched in
1960 and around 2,000 issues were released. The last issue appeared in early
2000, by now it had become a fortnightly comic, but still had the unforgettable
Buster on the front page. He was originally billed as the son of Andy Capp, but
after about a year this was dropped. Over the years Buster amalgamated with many
different comics including Film Fun, Radio Fun, Jet and Whizzer & Chips. Many
stories appeared like The Shrinker, Charlie Peace, Toys of Doom, Bonehead,
Faceache, Dinah Mite, Elmer and the popular Maxwell Hawke.
