Moorgate

The collector cards supplied with cigarettes were very popular. In 1953 Moorgate supplied a set of 30 cards celebrating the Queens Coronation in a series entitled THE NEW ELIZABETHAN AGE. Twenty of the Cards were Standard Size and 10 were Large Size. The set consisted of varnished photographs of the Coronation itself, and many of The Queen and her family showing the children at a very young age There was a lot of informative text printed on the backs of the cards. If you’ve got a full set in good condition then you could expect to get £30-£40 today.
