CS004 - Edition  800

The Home & Colonial Store was the Harrods food store of it's day. It was like entering a grocery store after a full meal to become hungry again. As you enter, imagine marble counters full of cheeses, hams and cold meats - and then a wonderful wooden counter, behind which are several drawers of loose leaf tea, coffee and other such things. men in white aprons standing to attention as you entered. they always had a little pencil behind the years jotting down your bill as they went along, they used to lick the end of the pencil and they seemed to do this more often as your list got bigger. Then of they went to a lovely silver till and started ringing in the numbers.

What couldn't you buy - well milk because that was for the milkman, bread came from the bakers, magazines the newsagents, fruit from the greengrocer and meat from the butcher. that just left everything else!!

Another small edition caused by a painting problem (powder coating). This meant Dusty could only make 800 from the original plan of 1,200.  Produced in November 2000.
