GLEN GARIOCH |
| You can tell the summers here again as Dusty likes
nothing more than to sit back each evening sipping a glass of whisky
whilst watching the salmon fishing during one of his retreats to his
country estate. When ever he’s short of a bottle - you’ve guessed it -
he decides we should release another whisky model, so here we go. Glen
Garioch is situated on the Aberdeenshire village of Old Meldrum in the
Scottish highlands. The region is famed for its stunning scenery and
colourful tartans and is the home to many distilleries, Glen Garioch
being the oldest and most endearing. It was established in 1797 and
this small distillery takes its name from the Valley of the Garioch,
traditionally the finest barley growing area of Scotland. Dusty says - sweet, malty with floral characteristics. I think this may be as popular as the Glenmorangie. |
