Oxford United

This was the first in a new series of vehicles covering football clubs from around the country. The first releases include teams from the Football League and we will add others from Scotland in the future. All of the models will come in a clear box and special packaging.
The first release carries the logo of Oxford United, a team that has recently moved to the new Kassam Stadium. Times have changed from 1893 when it was an amateur club called Headington United, a village team known locally as ‘the boys from up the hill’. It was in 1960 that the name changed to Oxford United in order to increase appeal to the whole city. A couple of years later Accrington Stanley folded and United were elected to the Fourth Division. It’s heyday came in the 1980’s when it reached the First Division. Today the club play in Division 3.
