Rushden & Diamond |
| Rushden and Diamonds were formed in 1991 with the amalgamation
of Rushden Town (Southern League) and Irthlingtonborough Diamonds (United
Counties League). Rushden was the older of the clubs with its formation in 1889,
and was known locally as the Russians. It was economic pressures that led to
their amalgamation and today they play at Nene Park, now one of the finest
stadiums of its size in the country. |
