Wall's Ice Cream

This is the first release of our J2 casting and is the Austin variant. There are quite a few casting types. We’ll also release Morris versions next month and we have a whole range of different casting shapes. The J2 range was announced in June 1956 with a wheelbase of 7ft 6 ins and rated at 15 cwt. The van cost £554 and the 12 seater minibus £625, if you wanted heaters it would cost you £11 extra. The cab had two front panel designs to provide the Morris J2 and Austin 152 version which was a policy adopted by BMC. The van could be specified with either sliding or hinged cab doors, single or sliding rear doors. By 1965 the Morris front panel was dropped and the Austin front panel was adopted for both versions. So don't be surprised if you see some odd combinations being released! This is produced to 1:43rd scale and is a beautiful model, being around 4 inches long. We have had a lot of interest with these new J2 models and some of the despatches may be sent later in February as we will have a lot of orders to fulfil.
