JSS002  SS Jaguar Black

The second release on this brand new 1:43 scale model is a stylish replica of the first four-door car to come out of the SS Company and was also the first to carry the Jaguar name. As we said in Issue 120, our model carries a wealth of detail. It also looks great in gleaming black. The original - CDU 700 - belonged to Mrs Greta Lyons - later Lady and wife of Williams Lyons, who had launched the car at the Mayfair Hotel in London in 1935. Lady Lyons, who used the car for her own personal transport, added a few personal touches - made at her request. You can see the real thing in the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Museum at the famous Browns Lane, Allesley site in Midlands.
