Just over a week after the Coronation we all had a chance to relive the moments in colour. For many the event a week earlier had been enjoyed either on the radio or the black and white TV. This was a chance for the excitement to continue and to discuss our favourite moments. For many it was the sight of that gold coach pulled by all those horses, for others the Queen with her crown, orb and sceptre.
Afterwards, everybody made their way to St James Park and watched the Royal Family on the balcony waving to the Fly Past. These moments were all captured for posterity by the Illustrated in their souvenir issue for just 6d.
