Back in the sixties home ownership was nowhere near as widespread as it is today and the home-improvement industry was in its infancy, only just emerging after the austerity of the war years. There were a few existing up-market magazines and several practical DIY titles. Homemaker was a monthly magazine aimed at the do it yourself market. We left Dusty to choose the cover and what amazes me is why he chose this cover from October 1969 when he had so many others to choose from !Order this item now
