Tibbett & Britten Ltd
This is the first outing for our Morris Minor Gown Van. Just imagine
driving this around in the sixties with garments and gowns swaying side
to side as you took a corner at too high a speed.
The company that converted these, used chassis - cabs straight from the
factory, this version was converted by Hawson - Garner based in Andover,
Hampshire. The rear is made of a coach built timber framed body covered
in aluminium. Internally it would be lined with wood panelling and the
beams would carry garment rails. It was fitted with nine - leaf rear
springs and raised spring - hangers, which allow for the extra weight
and overhang.
