 Tognarelli

The actual vehicle is owned by Ian Gutherson from Northumberland. Ian’s van is a splendid looking body conversion that was carried out by Myers of Distington in Carlisle for H & R Tognarelli’s of Workington. The company purchased two new Minor vans in 1957 and 1958 before sending them off to Myers! The vehicles were registered as TAO 211 and URM 620. TAO 211 was re-registered to YVS 329 and was purchased during 1994 by Ian after seeing the pair advertised in a local paper in Sunderland. YVS 329 carries chassis number OEH15/51433, which equates to:
O = ? Ton, E = Van, H= Primer, 1 = RHD home market, 5 = Primed
51433 = the 50932nd LCV assembled during 1957, the V5 document confirms that the van was first registered on 03/04/1957. Special thanks to Russ Harvey for the information and Ian for the pictures. We hope to meet Ian at the Dorset Steam Fair and hand him over the first off production sample.
