During World War II she had driven military trucks, but today she rode to her Coronation in a golden coach pulled by eight grey horses. This was the first Coronation to be seen by millions of people all over the world due to television. The ceremony took place at Westminster Abbey and the Queen took the Coronation Oath binding her to the service of her people in Britain and the Commonwealth.
