DUNKIRK

A set of four vehicle commemorating Operation Dynamo - the evacuation of Dunkirk in 1940 - the most heralded event in military history. Over 300,000 men were taken off the beaches with many small leisure cruisers and privately owned cabin cruisers playing the part. The set is dedicated to all those who took part and the models feature:

HMS Wild Swan - for a short vicious period  she provided supporting gunfire at Dunkirk.

Queen Alexandra's Imperial Nursing Service - many nurses stayed with the wounded and dying as long as they could. Many unwilling to leave.

Beach Marshall - responsible for assembling the long lines of troops waiting to be evacuated
