SP041 Hockings Ice Cream Van
Yes – we've heard the first ice cream chimes of 2011 already. Those of you living around the North Devon coast, or visiting places like Bideford on holiday, will have seen this ice cream van in real life. It belongs to the Hocking family, who have been making and selling ice cream in the area since 1936. The business was started by David Hocking with one van, a 1928 Morris Cowley which he had converted for the purpose by a local coachbuilder. Now the business, still based in North Devon, is run by his grandsons Geoff and Neil Hocking, as well as great grandson Andrew, who operate a fleet of 12 ice cream vans. Comes in a special wrap.
The family have commissioned this special Bedford CA Van in their livery from Oxford Diecast but we are delighted to be able to offer a small quantity of the production run to our collectors.
