The second release on the newly tooled 1:43 scale car is a replica of the vehicle owned and the beautifully restored by Mr Richard Ashby from Northamptonshire, who made it available to our Oxford design team in the initial development of the model. The PADX Cresta Friary Estate was built between 1960 and 1962 and the majority of the cars produced were two-tone. Our first model came in the authentic Mountain Rose/Swan White and could have well driven by a Sixties pop star or even a Hippy - amongst whom the car was extremely popular! Dusty claimed to have spent his teen years in this, until I pointed out that at its launch he was past his mid thirties, his memory is failing him! Of course I was too young to remember this TAFF!
