What a great comedy Are you Being Served was (and still is), set in the men's and women's department of a large fictional store called Grace Brothers. Following the British class system characters rarely addressed each other by their given names. Mr Humphreys (John Inman) achieved enormous fame with the catchprase "I'm Free" and his walk across the floor. The show became popular around the world and can still be seen in the USA and many Commonwealth countries. It ran on BBC1 for thirteen years up until 1985, but can still be seen on the satellite channels.
