Leonard Rossiter was a distinguished actor known mainly for his comedy
roles during the seventies. In Rising Damp he played Rigsby the
lecherous landlord of a house converted into a block of seedy bedsits.
Miss Jones was never far from his thoughts! He also appeared in The Fall
and Rise of Regional Perrin.He died in 1984, aged 58, at the Lyric
Theatre in London.
