The 159 is a long standing route, dating back to the 1940’s. It stopped
at some of the best known places in London - Baker Street, Oxford
Circus, Westminster, Trafalgar Square before eventually arriving in
Streatham Garage. In June 1970, the RTs were replaced by Routemasters. In December 2005, route 159 was the last route to be converted from Routemasters to low-floor bus, by using Volvos.
