PACKAGING

There have been various packaging styles that have been made available over the history of Oxford Diecast and below the various types have been listed

Box 1 Vacuum Formed Insert

All early models were packaged in this box with different inserts were introduced to accommodate the models - the box appeared with the first models in 1993. The internal vacuum formed insert was used on the Bullnose, Model T Van, Model T Truck and the Thornycroft bus. Where products were supplied directly to a customer via a promotion then it was normal to replace this box with a brown corrugated mailer carton. Club members usually received their product inside Box 1.

Box 2 UK & Export

This replaced Box 1 and came in  maroon (UK) and green (International) colours and was introduced in 1997. Due to the smaller overseas volumes at this time, considerably fewer numbers of box 1 were produced and therefore their are rarer to find. On occasions the green box was substituted and used in the UK market for various offers.
