We are proud of the part we took in maintaining supplies of cigarettes to His Majesty’s Forces in all parts of the world.

    A fighting man’s rations may vary in the stress of battle-he has to endure indifferent food, over-chlorinated water, a slit trench for a home. But when he has a good cigarette as solace “its clouds all other clouds dispel.”

    That our soldiers, sailors and airmen enjoyed the superb of State Express cigarettes is evidenced by the numerous letters of appreciation we have received from all battle fronts. All the writers stressed the perfect condition in which the cigarettes were received. This was due to our insistence in packing them in air-tight tins where climatic conditions or length of journey made this desirable they reached the smoker.
