Oxford Diecast Eras of vehicles.
Oxford Diecast has built a reputation for producing a variety of scale model vehicles that span over 100 years. For some the age of the car is irrelevant, for others it is extremely important - particularly if you are modelling. Having the wrong vehicle can ruin it, a 1950's railway layout having an Aston Martin DB9 in a car park would not have been possible as the car was only launched in 2004. However it would be acceptable to have a 100 year old traction engine on a layout representing this year. It could be part of a Steam Rally, or even a rusty old bit of metal in the corner of a field. Railway wagons and steam trains particularly could fit many different layout.
So the choice of vehicle for modelling is important. Don't also forget that a car launched in the 1950's would have been on the road in the 1960's and 1970's. Some vehicles although released many years ago can still be a common sight on the roads today. Good examples being Minis built in the 1960's or Series II and III Land Rovers which seem to last forever.
Oxford has categorised it products into suitable eras, you can refine your searches by scale and theme.
