The Bofors 40mm gun is an anti-aircraft/multi purpose auto cannon which was designed and manufactured in the 1930s by the Swedish arms manufacturer A B Bofors. It was introduced in 1934 and during its long life, it has been used by worldwide armies in a long list of conflicts, notably WWII during which time it was used by most of the western Allies as well as by the Axis powers. It also saw service in the Falklands War of 1982. This version is decorated in a military dark brown colour scheme.

Bofors Gun

It is a perfect model. It fits onto an Accurascale Warwell wagon without the need for any adhesive. As a result I purchased three more guns and wagons and an Oxford Diecast ROD Dean Goods to complete the train.

Just awful! The items was lost twice and it was only a matter of luck that I managed to get one of the sent items from another house where it had been delivered. Very little help from this company and in all it is the last time I shall ever order anything from them again.

Just awful. The item was lost in the post, directed to the wrong address twice and I only received it by knocking on doors to see if it had gone somewhere else. No one took responsibility and it is the last time I shall be buying anything from this company who are NOT COMMITTED TO HELPING THEIR CUSTOMERS.

40mm Bofors Gun 1:76 scale

This item is an excellent reproduction. However I found out that there are two types of gun carriage and this one is the Canadian version and does differ from the Airfix kit of this gun. Oxford die cast had a problem with despatch and my item got lost in the post so at the time of writing this I am still waiting for the supply of the second item as the first got lost in the post. I am not impressed by the tracking and long time to get my goods but the company have sent a second delivery of this item. It will be interesting to see if this arrives.
