The distinctive royal blue and cream livery of the Alexander luxury coach with its superbly coloured bluebird logo was one of the most attractive of its time. Here we see it on Oxford’s Leyland Royal Tiger, registered DWG 527, and heading for Glasgow according to the destination blind.  The detailed wheels echo the blue and cream body colour and the coach interior is moulded in a light tan.  A silver and royal blue line runs round the waist of the coach, extending round the front beneath the chrome surround of the windscreen, stopping on either side of the instantly recognisable Royal Tiger leaping out of the Leyland badge.   A further blue and silver stripe runs along the lower skirt of the coach and notice too, the W Alexander & Sons address in Falkirk printed in front of the nearside wheel. The back of the coach features the famous bluebird with the company name in gold script beneath.
