Back To The Future Film

Back to the Future is an American science fiction film. Set in 1985, the story follows Marty McFly (Fox), a teenager accidentally sent back to 1955 in a time-traveling vehicle. DeLorean was built by eccentric scientist Emmett "Doc" Brown (Lloyd). Whilst they are in the past, Marty inadvertently prevents his future parents from falling in love. This then threatens his existence and therefore he is forced to reunite the pair and somehow get back to the future. Back to the Future has since grown in popularity and is now considered to be one of the best science-fiction films and among the best films ever made. The film was followed by two sequels, Back to the Future Part II (1989) and Back to the Future Part III (1990).

DeLorean Time Machine

In the Back to the Future franchise, the DeLorean time machine is a time travel device made by retrofitting a DMC DeLorean vehicle with a flux capacitor. In the movie, the DeLorean Time Machine requires 1.21 gigawatts of power and needs to travel 88 miles per hour (to initiate the time travel). In all three Back To The Future films, the control of the machine is exactly the same. The first time DeLorean is used it is operated by remote control. After that it is operated from inside the time travelling vehicle. The film shows the operator turning a handle near the gear lever to turn on the time circuits. A target time travel date is selected and then the DeLorean Time Machine accelerates to activate the flux capacitor. Whilst in this motion several coils glow and the Back To The Future vehicle vanishes in a flash of blue/white.
