Oxford Diecast Land Rover Scale Model Vehicles

Oxford Diecast produces a massive range of Land Rover diecast scale model vehicles at different scales, but what makes this such a popular vehicle is the heritage associated with the brand.

After the War Rover needed to use the vast Solihull factory for new vehicle, so they planned a 'British Jeep'. The first Land Rover ws launched in 1948 with registration number HUE 166, and by 1950 almost 2,500 Land Rovers were already in service. British Aerospace bought the car division in 1988, selling 'Rover Group' to BMW in 1994. rnIn 2000 BMW sold Land Rover to Ford, who put their Land Rover and Jaguar divisions up for sale in 2007.
