All of our diecast models are made with care and precision and they are very popular among collectors. And best of all? They’re available at a range of affordable prices! What is defined as a model classic car?
Well, firstly - it depends on how old you are?! Give your car-loving passion a home with a model classic car. Our replicas are perfect for display in your home or office. They're also great conversation starters. You can browse brand collections or search for models by name in the navigation at the top of this page. For example, the Ford Capri is a great car to collect! Or maybe you'd rather have one of these classic VW Golf GTIs from the 70s or 80s? We have those too, along with many other brands.
Diecast scales
We offer a wide range of models at Oxford Diecast. Our models are made from quality materials and crafted with the latest manufacturing techniques for durability, longevity, and ease of maintenance. We also offer models in several scales, including 1:18, 1:24, 1:43, 1:72, 1:76, 1:87, and 1:148. The scale of a model classic car can make a big difference in how it's displayed. As a result - some people will line up their displays by scale. However, others will tier them in rows by colour or a particular theme.
Organising your model classic cars into themes
You may have collected many different models, and you still want to add more. This is understandable! You can add different models of your favourite theme to your collection. For example, having a Coke Cola shelf looks great during Christmas time when some people associate the drink with Christmas. Or maybe you have an interest in Police, Ambulance, Post Office and Military vehicles? We can help you find some great model classic cars to add to your collection. If you are a film buff, we even have some great Back to the Future models!
It's easy to catch the ”bug” for collecting model classic cars
Our customers love to collect things. It’s great to be able to look at your collection and regularly admires it! Not only that, but it also gives you a sense of pride when you think about how much time and effort you put into finding these items. If you know someone who likes to collect and also loves cars, you can start them off on their model car collection journey!
What about some gift ideas?
We'll give it to you straight: model classic cars make great gifts! Many of our customers purchase these models for family and friends as thoughtful presents. And the best part about giving a diecast model is that it won't empty your wallet! Oxford Diecast has plenty of affordable models that are sure to delight any car enthusiast. If you're struggling with gift ideas, check out our pages for Christmas gifts or sets.
BMW Isetta model classic car
Small and stylish, the BMW Isetta was a popular car during the 1950s. Inspired by Italian microcars, it was mass-produced by German automaker BMW from 1955 to 1962. Originally designed as a microcar, it was also used as a sports car and delivery vehicle. The Isetta had many features that were considered very advanced at the time of its release. For example, it had a rear-mounted engine and front-wheel drive. These features made it easier to move around in crowded city streets. The car also had three different models: Standard, Deluxe, and Export—this was unusual because most cars only had one option at the time. Complement your model classic car collection with the BMW Isetta and brighten up your collection.
Ford Anglia model classic car
The Ford Anglia is a classic car inspired by the design and mechanics of a vehicle produced by the Ford Motor Company in 1955. The Anglia was developed to compete with smaller, more efficient automobiles like the Austin A40 and Morris Minor, which had been popular for several years. In 1953 the Ford Anglia became Britain's top-selling car with sales of over 100,000 cars per year. Just one year later—in 1954—it overtook the Morris Oxford as Britain's best-selling car ever, selling 140,000 cars per year. If you love old-timey cars or have fond memories of riding around in an Anglia yourself, why not purchase our model of this classic car today?
The AC Invacar model classic car
Our AC Invacar model classic car was designed by a man named Eric Laithwaite, who had lost his leg in a motorcycle accident as a teenager. He created the chair to give disabled people independence; they wouldn't have to rely on others for transportation anymore!
Mercury Coupe Hot Rod model classic car
Our Mercury Coupe Hot Rod Model classic car represents the classic American car. These vehicles were originally made from 1939 to 1941 with a V8 engine, popular among drivers. Ford offered different options for buyers including optional chrome bumpers and chrome window trim, as well as different paint colours, windscreen wipers (electric), rubber mats, luggage racks & shields (steel). Why not go back to the old days with a Mercury Coupe Hot Rod Model classic car?
